THE SERVER IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS FOR THE
SYMPOSIUM
The deadline for abstract submission is Monday, March 2, 1998.
Electronic Abstract Submission (EAS) is the strongly recommended method for
sending abstracts to the Symposium. Obviously it is much faster than
ordinary mail, much more economical, easier for the Symposium office
to handle, and your abstract will be viewable on the web. However, the
biggest advantage is that the formatting is done automatically so your
abstract will look "normal" in the Abstract Book. Additionally the
quality of printing is the highest for electronic abstracts.
When you have completed your electronic abstract, following
the directions below, just email it to our test address for viewing or
to the above email address for actual submission. Upon receipt, your
document will be processed by a LaTeX-2e compiler and you will
automatically receive an email reply indicating either a successful
submission or a problem. If you submit electronically and you receive
confirmation of a successful submission, you need do nothing
more. Once you have successfully submitted your abstract, DO NOT
resubmit it or a "revised" copy electronically. DO NOT send us an
additional paper copy. Either action could result in your abstract
being included twice in the program. Please note that we can only
hanle one format for electronic submission. LaTeX was chosed because
of its support by several American professional societies and
widespread use in the worldwide scientific community.
